Europe risks being left behind. One in four European citizens relies on ride-hailing services but in cities like Rome, Athens, Barcelona, and Dublin, one in every two requested rides goes unserved due to outdated regulations.

This stops economic activity; 25% of rides enable commuting, 30% support spending in local businesses and tourism. If they are not available, none of this can happen.

Here at Shared Mobility Europe, we support the objectives of the Commission’s ‘Competitiveness Compass’ in creating a truly competitive European economy. To do this, we need a modern regulatory framework for shared mobility that makes our cities cleaner, fairer, and easier to navigate for everyone.
